The Navy Just Sent A Drone To Deliver Cargo To One Of Its Ballistic Missile Submarines

 They also sent a C-17 Globemaster III attached to the USAF 535th Airlift Squadron, a MV-22 Osprey attached to the "Lucky Red Lions" of Marine Medium Tiltrotor Squadron (VMM) 363 and a MH-60R Sea Hawk attached to Helicopter Maritime Strike Squadron (HSM) 37 to deliver payloads to USS Henry M. Jackson (SSBN-730).

Saying goodbye to 'Narwhal,' a submarine whose stealth changed the Navy

The USS Narwhal — named for a 20-foot-long gray and white arctic whale whose males possess a twisted ivory tusk — was the third such submarine called by that creature.

Senators have ramped up efforts to add three new diseases, bladder cancer, hypothyroidism and Parkinsonism to the VA's list of conditions linked to herbicide exposure in Vietnam and elsewhere.

Navy Declassifies 300 Pages of Probe into 1963 USS Thresher Disaster

Rear Adm. Bill Houston, director of the Undersea Warfare Division at the Pentagon, told reporters Tuesday that Navy leaders don't believe the newly released Thresher documents "will shed any additional light on her loss." Still, he added, the Navy is committed to releasing additional portions of the report monthly, despite much of it remaining classified.

France’s ‘Le Téméraire’ nuclear submarine passes test to fire atomic missiles

PARIS – France’s fourth nuclear submarine, Le Téméraire, was qualified on Friday to operationally deploy the M51 nuclear-capable missile after successfully launching it from the Bay of Audierne in Brittany.
